Department Description
Corporate Insurance
We offer our clients the resources and know-how to advise on Europe-wide and country-specific issues that arise in corporate transactions.
Our corporate insurance lawyers work almost exclusively on deals in the insurance industry across Europe. We advise on transactions of all forms and sizes, including public and private M&A, Part VII transfers, cross-border deals and portfolio acquisitions as well as specialist transactions such as renewal rights and reinsurance arrangements. We also advise insurance companies and their boards on corporate governance matters, listed company issues and equity capital markets transactions.
We cover the key segments of the insurance industry, including life and general insurance, Lloyd's of London, and run-off and consolidation businesses. Our lawyers have experience in the emerging InsurTech field and have advised on a number of collaborations in this space.
The team is supported by a range and depth of insurance industry experience that few other advisers can match, which supports clients in their due diligence and in navigating the complex regulatory processes associated with corporate insurance.
Our offering to clients is adapting as the insurance industry changes. We focus on technological developments whether they relate to distribution or new technologies like blockchain and driverless cars, cross-border regulatory issues, data protection regulation and cyber risk, changes in healthcare regulation and pensions, or sanctions.
