Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to Join our team at Carntyne Gardens, you will provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.

Hours of employment is 30 hours a week

The Role

In your role as Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals in their own homes including:

  • Assisting with household tasks
  • Assisting and supporting with personal care, including intimate personal care
  • Medication prompting/ administering
  • Moving and handling, including use of hoists and equipment

About You

You Will

  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis
  • Have good time keeping, time management and organisational skills
  • Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have the ability and willingness to undertake this qualification
  • Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
