Overview
Our client, a leading global software solutions provider in the healthcare sector, is seeking an experienced
Application Consultant
to join their growing team. This newly created position offers the opportunity to work remotely while collaborating with colleagues across multiple UK offices.
The role combines customer delivery, technical configuration, and product expertise, focusing on translating client workflows into scalable solutions. The successful candidate will play a key part in product demonstrations, configuration management, customer onboarding, and post-implementation support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations and prepare customised demo scripts and datasets.
- Facilitate customer workshops to capture and map current and future-state workflows.
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement, aligning them with system capabilities.
- Configure system roles, permissions, templates, and parameters for new client projects.
- Develop and maintain configuration inventories, change logs, and ensure environment parity.
- Design and deliver role-based training sessions, including supporting materials and quick-reference guides.
- Provide early-life customer support, manage onboarding queries, and escalate issues where required.
- Support live implementations, monitor performance, and ensure smooth go-live transitions.
- Collaborate with internal teams across Support, Professional Services, Sales, and R&D to drive customer success.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering tailored product demonstrations and customer training.
- Strong background in configuration management, business rules, and validation logic.
- Experience with XML clinical data models and enterprise application customisation.
- Competence in SQL scripting, version control, testing, and deployment best practices.
- Skilled in process mapping, workshop facilitation, and translating requirements into actionable configurations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Awareness of clinical workflows, data governance, and NHS safety standards (DCB0129/DCB0160).
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
