Live In Care Professional for Newport

Newport, Newport, United Kingdom Home Instead Full time £10,800 - £47,520 per year
Company Description

Live-In Care Assistant – Make Every Day Count

Location: Newport, Monmouth & Surrounding Areas

Hours: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Pay: £910 per week + £40 weekly food allowance

We're recruiting on behalf of our client, a trusted provider of high-quality home care across Newport and Monmouthshire.

If you're someone who truly cares about others and wants to make a lasting difference, this Live-In Care Assistant role gives you the opportunity to do just that — helping people live independently and with dignity in the comfort of their own homes.

What You'll Do As a Live-In Care Assistant, you'll live in your client's home during your working weeks, providing tailored support and companionship to help them live safely and comfortably.

Your role will include:

  • Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Supporting mobility and safe movement using walking aids or hoists
  • Managing continence, skincare, and oral hygiene routines
  • Preparing nutritious meals that suit your client's preferences
  • Keeping the home clean, tidy, and safe
  • Supporting medication routines and keeping accurate records
  • Providing emotional reassurance and companionship
  • Helping with shopping, errands, or light household tasks
  • Promoting independence and wellbeing every day

No two placements are the same — you'll form genuine, meaningful relationships while making life better for someone who needs your support.

Why You'll Love This Role When you care for others, you deserve to feel valued too.

Here's what you can expect when you join our client's supportive care team:

  • £910 per week + £40 weekly food allowance
  • Early Pay App – access your wages before payday
  • Recognition and rewards through 'Care Friend' points (convert to cash)
  • Paid training and shadowing visits before you start
  • Ongoing mentoring and professional support
  • Opportunities to complete NVQs and grow your career
  • 24/7 on-call support whenever you need it
  • £150 refer-a-friend bonus

You'll never feel alone in this role — there's always a friendly team ready to support you.

What You'll Need You don't need prior experience — we'll provide full training and guidance — but you do need kindness, patience, and reliability.

Essential:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car (for travel to placements)
  • Good spoken and written English
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check

Apply Today If you're ready for a rewarding live-in care role where you're valued, supported, and make a real difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and start a fulfilling journey where your care truly matters.
