Applicants are invited to apply for this exciting opportunity to join the team at Newport City Dogs Home.
Summary of Role
To receive, kennel, feed and care for all stray and unwanted dogs whilst in the care of Newport City Dogs Home and ensure the kennel accommodation is kept in a clean condition.
To ensure operational and administrative duties in respect of the receipt, kennelling rehousing and rehoming of Stray Dogs at Newport City Dogs Home are conducted.
Qualifications/ Experience
Applicants must be confident in handling and assessing dog behaviour and have proven track record in this area. Experience with working with dogs in a commercial kennel environment is essential, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation.
Hold an Animal Care Qualification to Level 3 or equivalent
You should be passionate about dog welfare and strive to improve the lives of dogs in our care, be self-motivated with an organised approach to your work, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and appreciate the importance of customer care.
