Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, contributing to the preparation and presentation of food for various events inside and outside of restaurant . This position requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Duties

  • Assist in food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Support cooking activities, following recipes and maintaining consistency in food production.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, supervision of staff , including planning staff shifts and rotas.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff during events, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Engage with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction throughout the event.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with serving food and beverages during events, providing excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics for catering events.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable.
  • Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food production techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Supervising experience with proven team management skills is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, demonstrating the capacity to motivate and guide staff effectively.
  • Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Experience as a barista or in hotel catering services is beneficial but not mandatory.
