Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating leadership qualities while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a creative individual who can design innovative menus, supervise kitchen staff, and maintain a harmonious working environment.

Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment to ensure efficient service.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Manage kitchen budgets effectively while minimising waste and maximising profitability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary trends.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
