Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic – Sandicliffe Nottingham MG

Sandicliffe is looking for a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our friendly and experienced team at our Nottingham MG site.

In this role, you'll carry out diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle testing to the highest manufacturer and industry standards. You'll take pride in delivering excellent workmanship and customer care while ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop in top condition.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong diagnostic skills and technical expertise who enjoys working in a supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking environment. An EV qualification is required (or a willingness to obtain one).

What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnose, repair, and service vehicles to manufacturer and MOT standards.
  • Perform electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHC) and provide accurate recommendations.
  • Complete pre- and post-service inspections to ensure quality and safety.
  • Source and fit required parts, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in line with company and industry requirements.
  • Follow all Health & Safety legislation and internal standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay ahead in the evolving automotive industry.
  • Support and mentor apprentices and junior technicians within the team.

What You'll Need

  • Level 3 IMI Vehicle Technician qualification (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • EV qualification (or willingness to complete one).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
