About us

We are a small, friendly & dynamic office team based in South Chailey, supplying and registering identification microchips for pets.

We have been helping to reunite lost microchipped pets with their owners in the UK for over 30 years. You will be one of the first points of contact for our company, requiring you to assist customers with their enquiries over the phone; this could be pet owners, vet practices or rescue centres, so no two days are the same.

Alongside answering inbound telephone calls, the ideal candidate will be able to quickly and accurately enter data in to our bespoke systems, either from paper forms or whilst assisting customers over the phone.

The company will rely on you for keeping our records accurate and up-to-date and a keen eye for detail will therefore be essential.

Due to the nature of the task and training requirements, this is an office based role. Own transport would be required due to the rural location of the office.

Responsibilities may include :

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and handling customer enquiries
  • Data entry and computer administration work
  • Dealing with incoming and out going mail
  • Making out-bound calls to customers with queries (not sales calls / cold calls)
  • Answering emails
  • Sorting and organising paperwork

Skills

Full training will be given to the successful applicant, so experience is not necessary, but the following are attributes and skills which will help you complete the required tasks :

  • Polite and confident telephone manner, with an ability to quickly understand the customer's requirements
  • Fast and accurate typing
  • Good command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience of data entry
  • Attention to detail

Initial contract is 12 months, however would look to extend where possible.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Work Location: In person
