Hotel Receptionist

Would you like to join a brand new hotel? The COMET HOTEL (Hatfield, Hertfordshire - 65 bedrooms, 1 bar/restaurant, 2 private boardrooms) is recruiting a RECEPTIONIST.

We are looking for someone that cares about others and can give a warm and genuine welcome. You are patient, willing to listen and exceed expectations when it comes to delivering service. Experience preferred but training will be given

We offer good rates of pay and support personal and future development. The role is a full-time position with shift work, including week-ends and evenings on rotation basis

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner

- Register guests and assign rooms, ensuring all necessary information is obtained

- Answer phone calls and provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions

- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately

- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions

- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally

- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met

- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area

Skills:

- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle a high volume of calls

- Strong hospitality skills to provide exceptional guest service

- Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role is preferred

- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus, as we cater to a diverse clientele

- Proficient in using hotel management software and computer systems

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information
