Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Year 3/4)

Location: Hailsham, East Sussex

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Job Summary

We are looking for a positive, reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3/4 class in a friendly primary school in Hailsham. This is a full-time role working closely with the class teacher to support learning, behaviour and pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning in a mixed Year 3/4 class
  • Work with groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
  • Assist with classroom organisation, resources and activities
  • Support pupils with additional needs where required
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive environment
  • Help deliver engaging and creative learning experiences
Requirements
  • Experience working with primary-aged children (Year 3/4 desirable)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Calm, patient and supportive approach
  • Ability to follow teacher guidance and use initiative
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
