Regional Sales Representative

Join our fast-growing team at Redback as a Sales Rep for Scotland, where you'll play a key role in driving growth and shaping our future sales strategy. You'll be the first point of contact for our regional independent accounts. Sales experience isn't essential but you should have excellent communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships with clients, plenty of determination and enthusiasm and be highly organised.

Reporting to: National Sales Manager

Working Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work

Location: Regional role covering Scotland

Salary: £28,000 (inc. £4k car allowance) + commission

Job Purpose

Drive growth in the region by identifying high quality leads, introducing and selling our products to new customers and supporting developing customer relationships.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities

Visits - Providing comprehensive coverage across the region, you will arrange an effective blend of scheduled face-to-face visits, telephone calls and other regular touchpoints with all your accounts.

Sales– Identifying high-quality customer leads with effective follow-up and conversion. As a face-to-face sales role the ability to build connections with new people will be crucial, making it a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, outgoing and likeable.

Data insights– Analysis of sales data to identify business growth opportunities alongside in-depth knowledge of our products and customer profiles to offer sales advice and guidance as appropriate.

Collaboration & Optimisation– Under direction of the National Sales Manager, you will develop a strategic approach to business building through the regular review of KPIs and the preparation of activity reports and key metrics. You will work closely with the rest of the business to ensure we understand and can meet customer expectations, presenting sales data and customer feedback regularly at team meetings.

Brand Ambassador- You will also be expected to attend trade shows from time to time.

Skills, Abilities and Experience

Essential:

· Full UK Driving Licence

· The ability to travel considerable distances to look after business needs

A bit about Redback

We're an award-winning greeting card publisher, known for our straight-talking humour and stylish, design-led contemporary cards. We supply stores all around the UK, including John Lewis, Scribbler and Oliver Bonas, as well as exporting to lots of countries around the world. We also sell to customers direct through our bespoke B2C site.

We've come a long way since being founded by Chris Stanley over a decade and a half ago, and whilst cards remain our primary passion, we have expanded our offer in recent years to include gifts and stationery.

Although we are now a well-established brand we remain ambitious and feel there is a lot of untapped opportunity for business growth – this role will play an important part in realising that ambition.
