Overview
E.C. Straiton & Partners are seeking a compassionate and organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous veterinary experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the booking system efficiently to optimise the daily schedule.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care advice.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date within the system.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-organised, creating a pleasant environment for clients and their pets.
Skills
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is highly advantageous, providing familiarity with animal care protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions.
