Clinical Lead – Nursing Home

Location: CT2 8NB

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week

  • Clinical Hours:
  • Monday & Wednesday: 08:00 – 14:00 (6 hours each)
  • Friday: 08:00 – 20:00 (12 hours)
  • Supernumerary Hours: 12 hours per week (to be split on remaining days)

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Lead to join our team at a well-established Nursing Home in CT2 8NB. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with proven leadership experience, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

This role is designed for someone who can provide both hands-on clinical leadership and effective managerial support. You will oversee clinical standards, support staff training, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing and care team.
  • Support and mentor staff to deliver safe, person-centred, and high-quality care.
  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and regular clinical reviews.
  • Lead by example in maintaining compliance with CQC standards and best practices.
  • Conduct clinical audits and ensure accurate documentation across all digital systems.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to staff training, supervision, and performance development.
  • Support the Home Manager in maintaining high operational and clinical standards.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with valid NMC registration.
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including Clinical Lead or Deputy Manager experience.
  • Confident in using digital care and record-keeping systems (IT literate is essential).
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and care governance.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive, safe, and caring environment for residents.
