Clinical Lead – Nursing Home
Location: CT2 8NB
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
- Clinical Hours:
- Monday & Wednesday: 08:00 – 14:00 (6 hours each)
- Friday: 08:00 – 20:00 (12 hours)
- Supernumerary Hours: 12 hours per week (to be split on remaining days)
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Lead to join our team at a well-established Nursing Home in CT2 8NB. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with proven leadership experience, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
This role is designed for someone who can provide both hands-on clinical leadership and effective managerial support. You will oversee clinical standards, support staff training, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing and care team.
- Support and mentor staff to deliver safe, person-centred, and high-quality care.
- Undertake assessments, care planning, and regular clinical reviews.
- Lead by example in maintaining compliance with CQC standards and best practices.
- Conduct clinical audits and ensure accurate documentation across all digital systems.
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to staff training, supervision, and performance development.
- Support the Home Manager in maintaining high operational and clinical standards.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with valid NMC registration.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including Clinical Lead or Deputy Manager experience.
- Confident in using digital care and record-keeping systems (IT literate is essential).
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and care governance.
- Commitment to promoting a positive, safe, and caring environment for residents.
