As a rapidly growing business in an ever-changing energy landscape, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious candidate to join our Accounting & Finance team.

This role offers the chance to work as part of a small, collaborative team with direct exposure to the Chief Financial Officer. You'll gain experience across the full range of accounting and finance activities in a listed company, while building a clear picture of how the finance function operates as a whole.

We place a strong emphasis on a balanced work culture, with a 40-hour week and the flexibility to work fully remote or be based in our office in Ireland or Spain (Madrid). For the right candidate, this position offers career growth, international exposure, and the opportunity to play a role in shaping a function within a company that is expanding across Europe and beyond.

The Role

As a Finance & Accounting Associate, you will gain end-to-end exposure to the finance function of a public company. You will learn how accounting, reporting, and financial operations come together to support a rapidly scaling international business.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting monthly accounting close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Working with Xero (accounting software) to process and prepare transactions.
  • Preparing and performing bank reconciliations.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Exposure to treasury, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes.
  • Assisting with board-level documentation and corporate governance materials.
  • Liaising with US SEC counsel and Irish counsel on compliance matters.
  • Assisting with audit requests and liaising with external auditors.
  • Providing ad hoc support and assisting with projects as required by the Finance and Accounting Director.

Skills & Requirements

  • High level of English proficiency, with strong writing and communication skills
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong financial literacy with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Xero or other accounting software (preferred but not essential).
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a fast-moving environment.
