Community Fundraising Manager

Job Summary
Special Stars Foundation is ready to move forwards, to expand its services with a proactive, professional internal team. We are therefore seeking an experienced Part-time Fundraising Manager who has fundraising knowledge along with the passion and dedication to be part of the management team and lead, with support from the CEO, on all our fundraising. We would also welcome applications from those with transferable skills wishing to start a career in fundraising.
Hours: 30 hours (0.75 FT) over Tuesday to Friday with occasional evening and week-end working.
Salary: £22,500 (£30,000 FTE)
Closing Date: Midday Monday 1st December
Interviews: First interviews week commencing Monday 8th December and Second interviews week commencing Monday 15th December.
Duties
The role will cover:
- being part of our management team, working with the Activity Lead, Retail Lead and the CEO.
- leading the planning, development and delivery of new fundraising income streams e.g. community, local corporate, trust funding, that will resonate with stakeholders.
- leading in implementing and delivering the operational plan for our fundraising income.
- engaging with people organising their own fundraising activities for the charity.
- engaging with supporters taking part in third-party activities and events to raise money for the charity.
- working with, coaching and line managing our Fundraising Assistant.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will be someone:
- with a successful track record of building relationships and generating income from local fundraising opportunities.
- with a passion for community fundraising
- with strong communication skills who can inspire others to support and continue to support.
- who is solution focused and creative.
- who can manage their time and workload in a busy office setting as well as when working independently.
- who can deliver a fundraising portfolio within an overall charity target, demonstrating an understanding of how to mitigate risk and maximise return on investment.
