Facility Agent

Join us at Barclays as a Facility Agent. Play a key role in supporting Wholesale Lending through daily processing, review, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.

To be successful as a Facility Agent, you should have experience with:

• A solid grasp of Syndicated Loans and their operational lifecycle, along with deep familiarity with Loan Market Association (LMA) documentation and standards.
• Proven expertise in Portfolio Management, including monitoring and reporting, paired with ample stakeholder engagement and communication skills to collaborate effectively with lenders, borrowers, and internal teams.
• A clear understanding of the legal duties and responsibilities of a Security Agent.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Proficiency in using industry platforms such as Syndtrak, Loan IQ, and ACBS.
• Confidence in working with legal counsel on documentation and transactional matters.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to design and implement end-to-end solutions for complex challenges, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

This role has the option to work from either Manchester or London, Canary Warf.

Purpose of the role

To support Wholesale Lending with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

• Support with day-to-day Wholesale Lending initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution through lending technical expertise.
• Monitoring the bank's lending operations to ensure that they are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Lending processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Wholesale Lending processes.
• Development and implementation of Wholesale Lending procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Wholesale Lending Services.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Wholesale Lending efficiency and effectiveness.
