As a Talent Assessment Manager within Barclays' Talent Selection and Assessment (S&A) team, you will act as the operational lead for Barclays' global talent assessment framework, ensuring seamless delivery of online assessments through our key partner, SHL. You will oversee day-to-day operations, monitor performance, and resolve incidents promptly to maintain operational excellence. You will ensure smooth integration of assessments with recruitment technology and processes, driving efficiency and consistency across global hiring practices. You will collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to deliver business requirements effectively, while maintaining a strong focus on candidate experience and compliance.

You will support strategic initiatives that enhance talent mobility and colleague experience across the recruitment lifecycle. You will partner with business stakeholders to understand current and future assessment needs, propose innovative solutions, and contribute to projects leveraging AI-driven tools and emerging technologies. You will conduct research on external providers and market trends to keep Barclays' assessment approach competitive and forward-thinking. You will lead or contribute to global projects within the Talent Selection and Assessment team, including internal mobility, employee referrals, and continuous improvement initiatives, driving change and delivering impactful solutions

To be successful as a
a Talent Assessment Manager – 12 Months Full Time Contract, you should have experience with:

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong operational delivery experience, ideally managing vendor relationships.
  • Ability to lead or support projects and deliver change initiatives effectively.
  • Experience within an HR Business Partnering function or in the Talent Acquisition space.
  • Experience working in large, global organisations with awareness of regulatory environments.

Other Highly Desired Skills Include

  • Familiarity with online assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Interest in AI-driven assessment solutions and emerging trends in talent selection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Your permanent role will be based from our Glasgow or Northampton office.
Purpose of the role
To design and implement programmes and initiatives that support the growth and development of the bank's employees and leaders.

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of training and development programmes and initiatives, including creation and execution of training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities.
  • Collaboration with HR and hiring managers to analyse the current and future development needs of the organisation.
  • Design and delivery of classroom and digital based training content, programmes and associated User Experience.
  • Management of onboarding programmes including training, onboarding materials, introduction meetings and providing support throughout the onboarding process.
  • Analysis of data and metrics to measure success of talent development programmes and initiatives.
  • Development and implementation of coaching and mentoring programmes, train the trainer programmes for facilitators and relevant educational materials.
  • Develop and implement talent pipelining processes, identifying, managing, progressing and promoting talent capability across the bank with succession management and career progression'.
