Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the environment remains safe, hygienic, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained facility through diligent cleaning and upkeep duties.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive commercial cleaning tasks across designated areas and communal spaces
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards and report them promptly
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored properly after use
  • Assist with minor repairs or liaise with external maintenance contractors when necessary
  • Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for all occupants
  • Meter readings on a weekly basis
  • Rotation of external communal bins
  • Litter picking to external grounds

Experience

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures is advantageous
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Organised approach to tasks with attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Start time of 08:00am - 12:00pm
  • 4 hours on site every day with the opportunity of full time work (8hours) on site every day in the new year
