Location: Private Clinic, London (Currently based in Harlesden, moving to Hampstead upon CQC approval)

Hours: Flexible - around 1 session a week or every other week

Rate of Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Murakami Medical Centre is a warm, family-owned private clinic located in Hampstead, directly opposite the tube station for easy access. We welcome patients from all backgrounds, and our services are built around a strong ethos of preventative, holistic, and patient-centred care.

While we serve the wider Hampstead and North London community, we also have a large and loyal Brazilian patient base who particularly value our focus on prevention, early detection, and comprehensive health checks. This approach is reflected across all our specialisms, including General Practice, Dermatology (including aesthetics), and in-house Ultrasound.

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Locum GP to work with us on a flexible basis. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Portuguese, as a large share of our patients are Brazilian. A strong interest in women's health is essential, as is the ability to perform cervical smears .

This role is perfect for a GP who values continuity of care, patient-centred practice, and a supportive, friendly clinical environment, contributing to a clinic that is trusted, organised, and growing.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality medical care to patients
  • Conducting consultations and examinations
  • Diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions
  • Performing cervical smears
  • Offering health advice and promoting healthy lifestyles
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals within the clinic

Person Specification:

  • Experience: Proven experience working as a GP, preferably in a private clinic setting.
  • Languages: Fluency in Portuguese is essential.
  • Interest: Strong interest in women's health.
  • Skills: Excellent clinical and communication skills.
  • Qualifications: Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • Attributes: Compassionate, patient-focused, and a team player.
