Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)| Elton | Permanent | Salary £56,000-£58,000

*39 Hours, 3 week rotation of 12 hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights - 5 off, 2 days, 3 nights - 4 off, 3 days, 2 nights - 5 off)*

As one of our Automated Warehouse Engineers you will be reporting into the Engineering Supervisor your primary responsibility will be to ensure the continuous operation of the warehouse cranes, conveyors, elevators, shuttle cars & Logistics Rail head. To ensure all PPM work is carried out in a safe manner & within set deadlines. Responsible for the efficiency and production of the Warehouse by liaising with Production, Despatch & Filling.

The Key Requirements

  • Must be time served in a recognised Apprenticeship in either Electrical Engineering or Multi-skilled (Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering)
  • Qualified to at least HNC/HND Electrical Engineering, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience since completing their Apprenticeship
  • In-depth knowledge of three Phase Motors and Inverter Drives
  • Welding & Fabrication (MS biased Technicians)
  • Knowledge of Hoist & Drive gearboxes (MS biased Technicians)
  • PLC Siemens 7 knowledge
  • Good Engineering acumen
  • Knowledge & previous experience in high-pressure Logistics/Warehouse within the food, drinks or packaging environment
  • comfortable with working at heights (up to 35 metres)
  • Experience in Automated Cranes, NASC (Narrow Aisle Stacker Cranes) Advantageous
  • Experience in Automated Conveyor Systems
