The Conference & Events Planner is responsible for maximizing profitability through effective event planning, particularly weddings, and customer relationship management.

Summary:

We are seeking a Conference and Events Planner to promote the hotel's facilities for conferences, events (particularly weddings and funerals), and group bookings. Your expertise will ensure that every event runs smoothly, contributing to our reputation for excellence in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of conferences, events, weddings and funerals.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met.
  • Manage event logistics including catering, setup, and audio-visual requirements.
  • Oversee the execution of events on-site, ensuring high standards of service are maintained.
  • Collaborate with hotel staff to provide seamless guest experiences during events.
  • Monitor budgets and assist with upselling additional services to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Gather feedback from clients, post-event, to improve future offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in conference and event planning within the hospitality sector.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Time management proficiency to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience in upselling services or products is advantageous but not essential.
  • A background in hospitality or guest services is preferred.
