Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with individual care plans
  • Support clients with mobility and daily routines to promote independence
  • Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals (training provided if necessary)
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent and compassionate care
  • Support clients in engaging in social activities and hobbies to enhance their quality of life
  • Assist with light domestic duties such as meal preparation and light cleaning as required
  • Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
  • Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
