Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Gym and Spa Leisure Manager to lead our onsite leisure operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our members and guests. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to motivate a team to achieve excellence in service delivery. The Manager will also play a key role in driving membership growth and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the Leisure team, including trainers and therapists, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Develop and implement programmes to enhance member engagement and retention
  • Oversee the scheduling of classes and personal training sessions, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources
  • Manage member enquiries, providing excellent customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
  • Monitor health and safety compliance within the centre, ensuring all equipment is maintained and safety protocols are followed
  • Assist with merchandising efforts to promote products and services effectively within the centre
  • Analyse sales data and develop strategies to increase revenue streams through memberships, classes, and retail sales

Experience

  • Proven management experience within a fitness or health club environment
  • Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful teams
  • Strong background in retail or sales management is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage members effectively
  • Experience in merchandising, organisational planning, and time management
  • Previous experience in leadership roles involving team management, sales strategies, and customer service excellence is essential
