The Security team provides a significant growth opportunity for Mayflex. The External Account Manager is responsible for developing Mayflex's sales with key identified customers within their sales territory to meet and exceed revenue and margin targets. The key focus will be on the Security product set. A critical part of the role is to educate customers on new integrated IP security technologies as well as promoting the UK's number one infrastructure brand.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop strong relationships with customers.
  • Communicates the value propositions of the Mayflex Electronic Security portfolio, and Infrastructure, AV and Racking portfolio.
  • Provides regular feedback on market conditions, competitor activity and industry developments into the business via pre-arranged channels and media
  • Research Market Opportunities
  • Account Planning and Development
  • Meet and Exceed Revenue Targets
  • Constantly Review Market/Territory Segmentation
  • Manage the sales pipeline and increase the visibility and predictability of longer-term business
  • Conduct structured, goals-related appointments with Existing and target customers.
  • Forge strong, profitable ongoing relationships with nominated customers.

What You Need to Bring to Mayflex

Success in this role relies on high levels of energy and enthusiasm coupled with in-depth knowledge of the Security market and competitor products. The ability to develop strong relationships with customers and to establish a reputation as a trusted advisor to their business is also critical to success. This is a role for a market-maker, so creativity and innovation are also necessary qualities to guarantee delivery of aggressive growth and revenue targets.

  • 3+ years external sales experience
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced sales environment
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to change in a fast-moving industry.
  • Establishes a reputation as a 'trusted advisor' to customers.
  • In-depth understanding of the IT industry and Electronic Security market
  • Proven track record of regularly exceeding sales targets
