Job Title: Support Worker (16+ Supported Accommodation) Location: Northampton
Contract Type: Full Time Salary: £25,000 – 27,000 Dependant on experience
We are looking for a fulltime or two part time positions
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team, working with young people aged 16+ in supported accommodation. This role is about empowering young people to develop independence, resilience, and brighter futures.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting young people with everyday living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and maintaining a home
- Encouraging engagement in education, training, or employment opportunities Promoting independence while offering guidance and positive role-modelling
- Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all young people
- Working alongside other professionals and agencies to provide holistic support Keeping accurate records and writing reports where needed
- Overseeing the property and ensuring Health and safety measures are carried out to a good standard
- Record keeping
- Completing support plans, risk assessments and all other reports required What we're looking for:
- A genuine passion for supporting and inspiring young people
- Strong communication, listening, and mentoring skills
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work a varied shift
- Experience in youth work, supported housing, or a related setting is desirable, but training will be provided
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection is an advantage
- Ideally a level 3 in health and social care but if the right person and this is not in place the opportunity to gain this in the role
- Driver, with full access to a car
- Sense of humour
