About Great Scotland Yard Hotel – The Unbound Collection

Few addresses are richer in history and anecdote than our hotel; a few steps away from Covent Garden and around the corner from Trafalgar Square our guests enjoy a wide variety of food and beverage offerings including quirky cocktails and local craft beers in the 40 Elephants Bar, evening drinks at our Whisky Bar, Sibin, and can indulge in an Afternoon Tea with a twist in The Parlour.

Duties and responsibilities related to the Steward role

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper cleaning, drying, and storage of dishes, cutlery, and cookware.
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and organising food supplies and kitchen equipment.
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables properly while following hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks, ensuring smooth workflow during busy operations.
  • Adhere to hotel/restaurant safety, hygiene, and food handling standards at all times.

About you

You are dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. A strong team player, you work well under pressure and bring a positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Prior stewarding or hospitality experience is a plus.
