The roles

  • Our pricing and commercial excellence practice has established a strong platform and has exciting growth plans over the next 5 years; we are therefore looking for an Associate Director and Engagement Manager to join the team. The successful candidates will report directly into Patric Kirchner – our Partner who leads the practice. Given the headroom and growth ambitions of the practice, these roles offer a unique opportunity for candidates looking for a clear future pathway into senior (Partner / Director) roles. Both roles include a mix of sales and project delivery:
  • You will be a functional pricing expert, able to contribute meaningfully to business development and marketing activities with both private equity and corporate clients alongside Patric.
  • You will act as a trusted adviser to our clients. Associate Directors and Engagement Managers are expected to spend 50-60% of their time involved in project delivery and are responsible for ensuring delivery excellence from their teams.
  • You will contribute to upskilling the wider consulting team in pricing techniques through formal and informal Learning & Development (L&D), delivering appraisals and potentially some Career Management responsibilities.

Specific candidate requirements

  • Expert in pricing, confident in leading and delivering pricing projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of state-of-the-art pricing frameworks.
  • Extensive understanding and application of industry / sector specific pricing and commercial excellence requirements (we are generally flexible on sector focus).
  • Prior exposure to business development & marketing activities, e.g. creating proposals, pitches, sales calls.
  • Managerial-level experience at a relevant organisation (e.g. strategy consulting, corporate background), including overseeing multiple projects concurrently, coaching juniors and interacting with clients / external stakeholders. Example projects include:
  • Structuring approaches for pricing diagnostics, research, strategy and modelling.
  • Converting insights into practical price architecture and monetisation recommendations.
  • Conducting client interviews, leading workshops, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to defend / challenge pricing recommendations at board level.
  • Strategic understanding of revenue growth & enterprise value.
  • An appetite for playing an active role in a growing, entrepreneurial team.
