Job Introduction

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Transport Data and Modelling Officer, to join the Transport Strategy team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:

  • Supporting the development of the regional transport model which will underpin critical programmes of work, such as the emerging Regional Transport Strategy, Spatial Development Strategy, and Mass Transit.
  • Developing analytical tools that support the Transport Strategy function and inform decision making on transport projects
  • Using GIS to undertake spatial analysis of large complex datasets and visualise this data in simple and easy to comprehend ways.
  • Producing reports and engaging presentations for meetings with senior leadership and local authority partners.
