Their portfolio includes private networks, IDNO and DNO interface projects, underground and overhead cabling, and EV charging infrastructure. Known for combining technical precision with compliance, they manage the full delivery lifecycle.
They are delivering major infrastructure projects across Scotland and are seeking a Site Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering Overhead Line (OHL) transmission works safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring OHL projects are delivered on time, safely, and within budget. You will work closely with site managers and project teams to manage and supervise subcontractors, oversee steelwork and OHL fittings replacement, or full line refurbishment projects. A strong understanding of OHL delivery principles and basic design requirements will be essential to ensure work progresses safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities of the Site Engineer:
- Plan and manage your work package, ensuring cost, time, and quality targets are met
- Lead and inspire teams on-site, promoting a strong safety culture
- Supervise subcontractors and direct labour to ensure efficient delivery
- Keep accurate records, manage change effectively, and document progress
- Build and maintain productive working relationships across the project
Criteria for the Site Engineer:
- HNC or higher in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience in construction, ideally with OHL subcontractor delivery
- Proven track record in overhead line projects up to 400kV is preferred
- Strong leadership, team management, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work across competing priorities to find practical solutions
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
