Trainee Press Brake Operator

Our client is looking for a Press Brake Operator Trainee to join an ever growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to operate CNC press brake machinery used to fold and form sheet metal components supplied to a wide range of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to safely operate press brake machines under supervision
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Load and unload sheet metal parts to and from machinery
- Develop multi-fold programs to form parts to specification
- Select correct punches and dies for different materials and radii
- Use dimensional and precision measurement tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
- Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop your technical skills and progress within the business
Skills & Attributes
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Takes pride in accuracy and inspection of own work
- Keen interest in engineering, manufacturing, or metal fabrication
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully
- Basic mathematical ability
- Team player with good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment is desirable
- An engineering or manufacturing-related qualification (or interest in working towards one) would be beneficial but not essential
Hours Of Operation
- Weekly rotation of working days and lates
This is a temporary to permanent position for the ideal candidate
