Position: Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper

Location: Nuneaton – remote work possible across the UK

Company Description

SN Accounts is a growing UK-based accounting practice providing bookkeeping and accounting services to businesses and entrepreneurs. We support our clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns and financial reporting. We are a small, friendly team of professionals with solid experience in UK accounting and tax regulations.

You must have:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role in the UK (Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant- preferably within an accountancy practice or a multi-client finance environment)
  • Good command of both English and Polish (due to our client base)
  • Right to Work in the UK

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of UK bookkeeping principles and basic tax regulations
  • Formal accounting qualifications (AAT / ACCA student) are an advantage but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills, reliability and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Analytical and logical thinking
  • High level of professionalism and ability to work under time pressure

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping and maintaining accounting records in line with UK regulations
  • Using accounting software such as Dext, Sage 50, Clearbooks, Xero
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Managing and reconciling accounts payable/receivable
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and liaising with clients
  • Supporting the team with day-to-day accounting tasks
  • Ensuring accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of all tasks
