We're now looking for an experienced Lorry Driver to join our Derry/Londonderry team in Bay Road – someone who takes pride in getting the job done safely, efficiently, and with a smile.

About the Role

As a McMahons Driver, you're much more than just someone behind the wheel – you're often the first and most regular point of contact for our customers. Whether you're delivering materials to a busy construction site or a customer's home renovation project, your professionalism and people skills make a lasting impression.

You'll be working closely with a supportive branch team who value collaboration, clear communication, and looking out for each other. Every day brings variety – from planning your route with the operations team to making multi-drop deliveries and handling materials with care using a HIAB crane or forklift.

We'll support you every step of the way with structured training in areas like load securement and manual handling, and you'll be provided with everything you need to work safely and confidently – from PPE and a company phone to regular health and safety updates.

We're seeking someone who:

  • Brings a full, clean HGV Class 2 licence and at least three years of driving experience.
  • Holds up-to-date CPC certification (5 modules) and a digital tachograph card.
  • Has a forklift licence or experience operating a HIAB crane (or is eager to learn).
  • Communicates clearly and enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Is reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering great service.
  • Is Safe Pass certified (or willing to complete training).
