Overview

We are a boutique financial services consulting firm with a small, UK- and Hong Kong-based team of international staff. We provide regulatory and financial crime support to UK businesses regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

We are looking for a Junior Compliance Consultant to support our team of senior consultants on regulatory and financial crime projects.

This is both an internal and client-facing role requiring a calm, polite demeanour and the ability to work under pressure.

The role has good progression opportunities to consultant level and beyond.

Start date: 12 January 2026

Responsibilities

Project support:

  • Collecting and organising project information for consultants
  • Reviewing information provided by clients for quality control before handover of the project pack to consultants
  • Coordinating calls with clients

Reporting support:

  • Assisting with the collection and preparation of regulatory reports (RegData)

General office support:

  • Call answering
  • Preparing client proposals
  • General office support
  • Processing accounts payable invoices
  • Updating and maintaining our CRM
  • Meeting room bookings
  • Greeting visitors and setting up meeting rooms

Customer due diligence:

  • Preparation of customer due diligence packs for new customers

Required experience

  • 1-3 years in a similar, office-based admin role, preferably with a similar, fast-paced firm

  • IT skills: Excellent knowledge of all Office 365 applications, including: Word, Excel, Teams, Powerpoint
  • Excellent numeracy skills. Confident in handling routine calculations, spreadsheets etc.
  • Disciplined and systematic approach to work – you will typically be working on many different projects at once
  • Professional-level English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both native- and non-native English speakers – many of our clients are international
  • Confidentiality – you will handle sensitive, confidential client data
  • Confidence and diplomacy skills. You will be dealing directly with our consulting clients who are typically SMEs with many competing priorities. You will often speak with senior managers and directors
  • Outgoing, friendly demeanour – much of your day will be spent speaking with other staff members and clients

Desirable skills

  • Experience using task management tools such as Asana, as well Hubspot CRM
  • Focus on efficiency, including good use of keyboard shortcuts
  • We are a global business with a multilingual team – any additional languages you speak may be useful for the business

Education

  • GCSE grade A*-B in English, Maths and Science
  • Undergraduate degree

Employment terms

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Other details

Dress code: Office wear. This includes smart clothes when working from home as we have frequent video calls with clients

Location: For the first 6 months, you will typically be based 5 days per week (as determined by your line manager) at our central London office next to Bank/Monument station. This can be reviewed after 6-12 months depending on progress, performance and business requirements

Hours of work: 37.5h per week, 9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour lunch break

Reporting to: Head of Payment Services & E-Money

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
