Please be aware that to qualify for our Internship Placement, students must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree (all disciplines) and returning to their studies after the 12 month placement concludes.

Purpose of the Internship:

The Global Internship Programme is an exciting opportunity to get first-hand experience in a world-class marketing organisation.

As part of our programme, you will be an active member of a professional and dynamic team in one of eleven locations. You will receive on-the-job learning and guided mentoring from our highly experienced teams while having access to global markets, exclusive trade events, interdisciplinary networks and most importantly, career building opportunities.

Note: This role may involve domestic and international travel and the occasional need to work unsocial hours including evenings and weekends.

Set up under the auspices of the Good Friday Agreement, Tourism Ireland plays an important role as a North South body for a key industry on the island of Ireland, serving both Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Key Results Area

  • Assist with the development, and implementation of Business Events, Luxury & Travel Trade plans in-market to drive sales and growth from Great Britain to the island of Ireland.
  • Assist with the management of close relationships with key travel trade partners in Great Britain to position the island of Ireland as a world class destination.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of Tourism Ireland created events in-market.
  • Assist the team with the planning and implementation of partner-led cooperative campaigns with various travel trade partners in-market.
  • In collaboration with the team collate content and copy for B2B ezine programme spanning both leisure trade and business events.
  • Assist the team in the administration activities that form the backdrop of the travel trade area including budget management, compiling reports, KPIs etc.
  • Upload B2B marketing activity onto the Market Reporting System (MARS) as well as use other Tourism Ireland systems including CRM to manage travel trade contacts etc.
  • Assist with the relationships between Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Northern Ireland and wider travel industry on the island of Ireland.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's GDPR compliance policies and procedures in respect of your area of work.
  • Represent Tourism Ireland at various industry, press and corporate events.
  • Such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably require.

The Person

The successful Intern will possess the following skills, experience and competencies.

Essential

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (all disciplines will be considered)
  • Must be returning to complete studies after the completion of the placement
  • The legal right to live and work in Great Britain for the full duration of the programme.
  • Fluent English, both oral and written, is required.
