Part-Time Catering Specialist Chef – RARA Caterers, Ruislip, Middlesex

Position: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £14.00–£18.00 per hour + incentives

RARA Caterers, a renowned Indian and Nepalese catering service in Ruislip, Middlesex, is seeking a dynamic and high-calibre Specialist Chef skilled in Indian and Nepalese cuisine, including Tandoori and curry specialties. The ideal candidate must be capable of preparing large-scale catering dishes for functions, events, and private parties to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work flexibly based on catering and restaurant schedules (availability confirmed via SMS).
  • Prepare catering menus in bulk quantities with assistance from the catering team.
  • Occasionally attend event venues to oversee or support kitchen operations.
  • Follow menus and ingredient lists provided by the Head Chef.
  • Adhere strictly to kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Maintain portion control based on event size and guest numbers.
  • Chill cooked food using a blast chiller and label it accurately with event details.
  • Demonstrate consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy catering or restaurant kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian and Nepalese cuisine (including Tandoor dishes).
  • Passion for high-quality food and commitment to maintaining hygiene and presentation standards.
  • Flexibility to work on various days based on availability.
