We are looking for an experienced scrum master to oversee and guide our Technical Teams and their deliveries. As part of a passionate team of engineers utilizing a mix of agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery models, you will oversee 1 or 2 teams developing and maintaining high compute products and capabilities for various functions within the R&D organization.
The role views scrum, lean, and other delivery processes as guidance for achieving delivery, constantly seeking innovative ways to accelerate delivery within established frameworks. This role requires a keen focus on ensuring solutions are delivered and meet key business requirements in an integrated and simple manner, and at times with urgency while continuously assessing risk and seeking improvements.
Key Responsibilities – We see the Scrum Master as Motivator, Influencer, Facilitator and Coach with the following responsibilities/deliverables:
- Planning, managing, and delivering solutions using agile methodology values, principles, and suitable practices including combining different delivery models as and when needed.
- Leading and facilitating scrum and kanban events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
- Monitoring progress and performance and facilitating team efforts to drive and implement relentless improvements.
- Supporting and enabling the Technical Area Leads and the team with continuous management and refinement of the product/team backlog including defining and updating roadmaps.
- Ensuring proper collaboration within the team as well as with the other teams.
- Clearing obstacles and removing impediments including proactive risk and issue management and resolution.
- Training, mentoring, and supporting teams as well as individuals to follow agile and lean values, principles, and practices.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant technical field
- At least 6+ years of scrum master experience, preferably in a similarly sized global business
- Experience in traditional IT project management and hybrid delivery models
- Expertise in Agile and Lean methodologies, with certification as a Scrum Master and experience in SAFe
- Strong consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in Agile frameworks adoption and improvement.
- Experience working with onshore and offshore personnel in a global organization across cultural boundaries.
- Experience with widely successful Agile techniques and tools such as the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and Airfocus.
- Positive relationship building, motivational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent listening and communication skills demonstrating situational awareness and conflict resolution
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games
