We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager for a 3 year project.

Site Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications.

  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, site operatives, plant, and materials.

  • Quantify materials from drawings and raise material requisitions.

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide on-site delivery.

  • Proactively raise and track RFIs/ EWN and raise internal CE paperwork.

  • Ensure all groundworks activities (excavation, drainage, concrete works, foundations, roads, etc.) are delivered to specification, with all QA records kept up to date.

  • Maintain accurate daily site records and progress updates.

  • Promote health and safety compliance, delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and briefings on method statements and risk assessments.

  • Liaise with clients, contracts managers, engineers, and senior management to provide updates and resolve issues.

  • Oversee site logistics including deliveries, materials handling, and waste management.

  • Ensure plant and machinery are used safely and maintained properly.

  • Prepare and write method statements, risk assessments, and QA documentation as required by the Principal Contractor.

  • Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

  • Background in commercial or infrastructure groundworks.

  • Civil engineering qualification or equivalent.

  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent).

  • Must hold SMSTS.
