Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive Core Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in core purchasing. This position requires strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of the industry. This position will be based around the North of England.

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with logistics for the collection of goods purchased, ensuring timely arrival.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new products to make informed purchasing decisions.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of success.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
