Audit Senior – Accountancy Practice

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break

Location: Cannock Town Centre (Office-Based) | Parking Pass Provided

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Our client, a reputable and long-standing Chartered Accountancy practice in the Cannock area, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated audit professional looking to advance their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Manage bookkeeping and prepare VAT returns where required
  • Complete corporation tax computations and submissions
  • Assist with personal tax work when necessary
  • Build strong client relationships and provide clear communication throughout engagements

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be ACCA or AAT qualified with a minimum of 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice, including strong exposure to audit work. You will support portfolio managers, deliver a high standard of client service, and play a pivotal role in audit and financial reporting across a diverse client base.

  • ACCA or AAT Qualified
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge in audit, accounts preparation, VAT & tax
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proactive, client-focused and confident in managing multiple deadlines
