Job Overview

We're looking for a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead The Garden House — a beautiful country venue with big ambitions. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves great food, warm hospitality, and creating a place the community is proud of.

As General Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of the business — leading the team, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving performance through creativity, consistency, and genuine care.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing all aspects of daily operations across bar, restaurant, and events.
  • Building, training, and inspiring a motivated front-of-house team.
  • Working closely with our chefs and group operations to maintain excellent food and service standards.
  • Managing budgets, stock, and staffing to ensure efficient and profitable performance.
  • Leading local marketing, events, and community engagement to grow the business.

  • Proven experience managing pubs, restaurants, or hotels.
  • A true passion for people, food, and hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with the confidence to make decisions.
