General Manager Designate - Live In available

We're on the lookout for an General Manager Designate for our sites in Norwich and Norfolk. You will join us as at the Hoste in Burnham Market, and work alongside our experienced GM on site over the next 6-12 months to develop your knowledge and skills. Live-in accommodation is available during this period. When the time is right get you kicked off on our internal General Manager programme with a view to taking on your own business shortly afterwards. You will have a background in leadership roles within hospitality - and experience working in pubs.

What we're looking for:

  • The ideal candidate with leadership qualities who can think on their feet – some experience of leading a team is essential.
  • You'll be willing to learn and own your development with support - We're looking for someone who will push themselves to grow their skills knowledge.
  • You'll be people focused – whether that's with regards to the team you work with, or with how you interact with our guests.

  • You think big (and small) – You'll set standards within the team and the business, noticing small details that others miss, and you'll also be able to think pubs from a GM perspective – suggesting improvements in the offer, sales driving and operationally.

  • You're forward thinking - we're looking for people who could be running pubs for us as General Manager within the next year. Most of our General Manager appointments are from internal candidates.

As the successful General Manager, you will embrace the autonomy given to run your business and offer unique ideas to drive your team to success. You will recruit & develop your team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers.
