VACANCY: Robot Welder Operator

LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

Rotating 2 shift pattern - Monday - Thursday ,Days 6am - 4pm and Nights 8pm - 6am.

We have invested in an extensive range of technology and equipment and provide services to a range of OEM's from leading industries including defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling and rail.

Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.

Ideally, you would have worked on numerous robotics projects and be fully conversant with safety systems, safety standards, risk assessments and how to apply them.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Perform daily pre-start checks according to site controls and code of practice.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of various pieces of robotic equipment, ensuring they're always running at peak performance.
  • Perform all touch point functions involved in operation of robotic welder
  • Positions and secures work pieces using proper equipment
  • Fully satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Team Leader
  • Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet standards
  • Monitor products to ensure they meet customer specifications, taking corrective action when necessary.

· Excellent understanding of robotics principles, kinematics, and dynamics for efficient programming and troubleshooting

· A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels

· Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
