Job Description

The role

The Digital Workplace Manager role is pivotal in fostering a culture of data-driven decision making and in demonstrating measurable value from smart building investments at Clifford Chance. This position is accountable for supporting our IT teams to develop a forward-looking technology roadmap and operationalising the technology in a BAU environment. They will establish and oversee robust data governance and quality assurance frameworks, and steer transformative digital initiatives to deliver enhanced client experiences and operational excellence. The role holder will provide visionary leadership in defining and advancing the data strategy for Workplace Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with our IT teams to establish and execute a robust digital strategy that propels Workplace Operations forward.
  • Support the Global IT team to Operationalise global smart building innovations in the UK
  • Proactively seek out and implement opportunities for digitisation and process automation in all operational areas.
  • Ensure a strong data governance framework is in place and maintained to support secure and reliable operations.
  • Develop and continuously refine the team's comprehensive functional data strategy.
  • Prioritise compliance with data privacy regulations, including GDPR, across all processes.
  • Maintain ownership of a transparent and effective reporting framework for the team.
  • Leverage in-depth data analysis to guide and shape strategic business decisions.
  • Lead digital transformation efforts aimed at elevating workplace experience and driving operational efficiency.
  • Cultivate advanced expertise in intelligent building systems and IoT, ensuring the team remains at the cutting edge.
  • Use historical expenditure analysis to inform future financial planning and decision making.
  • Foster collaboration with senior stakeholders to align on strategic direction and drive engagement.
  • Integrate user research into strategy development to address evolving employee needs.
  • Build strong vendor partnerships and ensure high performance among direct reports.
  • Deliver detailed reports to senior management to promote informed leadership decisions.
  • Transform data-driven insights into tangible improvements through ongoing stakeholder collaboration 
Qualifications

Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership in overseeing people management and digital services, with extensive experience in senior-level positions.
  • Exceptional communication abilities; a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, with a proven track record of influencing organisational strategy.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to inform decision-making at all levels.
  • Highly skilled in fostering collaboration across departments and hierarchical structures.
  • Rapid assimilation and effective presentation of complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding interpersonal acumen, ensuring productive working relationships throughout the organisation.

Experience:

  • Leadership of Technology and Data Teams
  • Advanced expertise in data governance
  • In-depth knowledge of Integrated Building (IB) and Internet of Things (IoT) workplace technologies
  • Mastery of data analytics platforms and methodologies
  • Extensive experience with business intelligence (BI) tools
  • Strategic oversight of supplier partnerships
  • Demonstrates exceptional performance in high-pressure environments
  • Analytical, data-driven approach to organisational strategy

Hybrid Working

This role follows our 'balanced' hybrid working approach and as long as business needs allow, you will be supported to work in a hybrid way with the expectation of working from the office for a minimum of 50% of your time.
