Our client, a London-based local authority, is seeking to appoint a Head of Delivery to lead its housing service through an ongoing period of improvement. The service continues to face several key operational challenges, including pressures on its Housing Revenue Account (HRA) finances, delivery of its neighbourhood and community services improvement plan, a limited digital interface with residents, and the need for significant investment in its housing stock.

Rate: £550 per day (Umbrella)

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week

Hybrid: 3 days on site | 2 from Home

You will be responsible for:

Lead and oversee a coordinated programme of projects to drive continuous improvement across the Housing Service, ensuring delivery excellence and alignment with organisational priorities.

Manage a portfolio of key initiatives, including HRA budget management and savings, service charge reviews, and multi-year improvement plans.

Evaluate and implement best-value service delivery options, embedding a systems-thinking approach and ensuring effective governance, structures, and resources.

Advise on legislative and policy changes, including the Social Housing Act, and identify external funding opportunities

The successful candidate will have:

Educated to degree level or possessing equivalent professional experience.

Proven track record in delivering complex projects and programmes, from initiation through to successful completion.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, with the ability to apply appropriate approaches proportionally to achieve effective outcomes
