Service Controller

We are an established, independent company specializing in mobile servicing and repairs for light commercial vehicles in the fleet industry. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail to join our small service team in Kingswood, Bristol. This is a non-customer-facing role, with communication via telephone and email, supporting our operations and ensuring smooth service delivery.
This position is Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 with NO WEEKENDS.
The successful candidate will be personable, highly motivated, and capable of delivering consistently high levels of customer service. Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities
- Act as a vital link between the customer, the service team and technicians, liaising with team members to monitor and stay informed on all work in progress.
- Organize and prioritize daily workflows and technician schedules to maximize efficiency and meet customer needs.
- Provide guidance to customers regarding required repairs, routine maintenance, and recommended service schedules.
- Update customers, obtain authorisation for additional work and resolve all queries to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Source and order parts, liaising with suppliers to secure the best pricing and availability.
- Provide support and technical guidance to technicians and the service team to resolve issues.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of automotive parts, typical service/repair procedures, and diagnostics is desirable but not essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Skilled in managing workloads and prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills for customer interactions and workshop scheduling
- Enjoys the challenge of problem solving and finding effective solutions
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
