Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid-role for a Business Development & Technical Solutions Lead.

The role combines a good technical understanding with commercial growth, focusing on:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Providing technical sales support and overall solution advice.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Creating tailored proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Conducting market and competitor analysis to provide ongoing sales strategy.
  • Leading negotiations and managing the full sales process.
  • Collaborating with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure project success.
  • The ideal candidate will act as a key interface between clients and internal technical teams, ensuring customer needs are clearly translated into effective engineering solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, or Solution Engineering.
  • Strong client relationship, management and commercial negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, substations, or wider electrical/power systems (highly desirable)
  • Ability to interpret technical information and communicate solutions clearly to customers.
  • Strategic thinker with strong market research and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Degree-qualified in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
