Job description

At Capital City College (CCC), we are dedicated to transforming lives through exceptional education and training. We empower our learners with the skills they need for future success — whether that's progressing into higher education, securing an apprenticeship, or moving into a higher-level job.

About the Role: Curriculum Manager - Construction

As a Curriculum Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our strategic objectives and ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and learner experience across our curriculum and services.

You will lead on the development and delivery of outstanding educational provision, working collaboratively with staff across departments to implement innovative and inclusive practices that support both learners and colleagues to thrive.

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the Team

You will be joining a high-performing and forward-thinking leadership team, working closely with colleagues across CCC to deliver on our shared goals. This role will involve line management of 9 staff, supporting their development and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

As part of our senior leadership structure, you will contribute to shaping the strategic direction of the college and ensuring its delivery through effective leadership, innovation, and operational oversight.

About You

We're looking for an inspiring and experienced leader with:

  • Proven success in leading teams or departments within an educational or comparable setting

  • Deep understanding of curriculum design, quality assurance, and student achievement

  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and people management skills

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build effective partnerships internally and externally

  • A commitment to creating inclusive and empowering learning environments

  • A relevant teaching qualification and leadership training (or willingness to obtain these)

You'll be passionate about shaping education that changes lives and ready to contribute meaningfully to the long-term vision and success of the organisation.

Why Join Capital City College?

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, mission-driven organisation. We value the dedication and expertise of our senior leaders and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme

  • Access to TELLUS – our discount and wellbeing platform

  • Participation in the Cycle to Work scheme

  • Interest-free season ticket loans for public transport

  • Annual eye tests and contributions towards spectacles

  • Flu vaccinations and access to occupational health services

  • Medicash health plans – including cashback on everyday medical expenses and a wide range of wellbeing support for you and your family

Our Commitment to Equality and Safeguarding

We are proud to be a diverse and inclusive organisation. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and empowering working environment for everyone.

CCC is committed to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults. All successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check, with some roles requiring an Enhanced Disclosure.

Our Values

Our values of Respect, Aspiration, Collaboration, and Opportunity guide everything we do. They define our culture and support our mission to empower learners and transform lives.
