1. Project Leadership – Solvent Exit Planning

  • Lead and coordinate the initial work on the first skeleton of a Solvent Exit Plan.
  • Work closely with the team with responsibilities for recovery & resolution currently sit with the Head of Risk but need to transition to a longer-term owner.
  • Understand and articulate key elements of capital, solvency, and PRA expectations.

2. Enterprise Risk Management

  • Support and enhance the enterprise risk framework.
  • Maintain active, constructive dialogue with the First Line, covering risks across the full spectrum.
  • Provide senior presence within the risk team, ensuring robust planning for Q1—including ORSA and scenario testing.
  • Prepare inputs ahead of the February committee cycle, requiring clarity on plans within the next few weeks.

Required Background

  • Strong understanding of insurance operations (GI or Life) and the fundamentals of Solvency II.
  • Comfortable working in resolution, recovery, and exit-related activities.
  • Ability to engage credibly with actuaries and technical specialists.
  • Demonstrated capability in enterprise risk frameworks and first-line engagement.
  • Senior-level experience enabling them to "hit the ground running".
