An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Restaurant/Duty Manager to join our team. The Restaurant/Duty Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

The Restaurant Duty Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, and health and safety. The role involves managing staff, enhancing customer satisfaction and stock control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist when necessary all operational running of the building.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers.
  • Staff Management:
  • Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff.
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor and address any issues related to kitchen operations.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Promote special offers and events to attract customers.
  • Engage in community outreach and partnerships to enhance the restaurant's presence.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, staff, and finances.
  • Prepare reports on sales, customer feedback, and staff performance.
  • Ensure all licenses and certifications are up to date.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of financial management and budgeting.
